The days are getting shorter and colder but there is truly something magical about this time of year; Christmas trees, twinkly lights and of course the specialty food & drinks! We’ve rounded up some of the best activities the city has to offer this season. So eat, drink & be merry (and most importantly stay warm!).
Explore Eataly Los Angeles' Holiday Market
In Italy, the most precious gifts are the ones you can eat, and Eataly’s holiday market embodies this philosophy. Overflowing with the best culinary gifts from Ita
ly, their mercato features a curated selection of themed gift baskets, fluffy panettone cakes and holiday desserts, giftable treats from Italy that can be packed into a customized gift basket, plus artisanal chocolates, salumi and formaggi, truffles, and more. Whilst you’re picking up some gifts for the foodie in your life, don’t forget to stop by one of their restaurants and experience their tableside shaved truffled experience! Buone Feste!
Discover the Winter Village
Every year this iconic Toronto location goes through a magical transformation into the perfect Winter Village, and this year is no exception. The centrepiece of the experience is the 51-foot tall White Spruce Christmas tree which was designed by PARFUMS CHRISTIAN DIOR. It is decorated with 400 custom midnight blue ornaments, 1,700 shiny and matte gold balls, 70,000 twinkling lights and 1,000 custom DIOR star charms. There are also a wide range of vendors offering specially curated seasonal items and gifts, plus delicious, can't-miss food cabins.
Indulge with The Ritz-Carlton
Now you don’t have to wait until Christmas day to enjoy all the trimmings and there’s no washing up to be done! Just in time for the cold weather, EPOCH at The Ritz Carlton has launched an exciting Sunday Supper series which takes inspiration from the British tradition of a roast meal on a Sunday. The meal includes a delicious slow roasted prime rib dinner with brussel sprouts, pomme puree, yorkshire pudding and more. Finished with an apple tarte tatin, this is a supper you won’t soon forget and is the perfect pick-me-up after a long day of holiday shopping! Alternatively they are also offering a Turkey Dinner at Home including a traditional holiday feast of soup, salads, turkey, stuffing, sides and dessert with pick up available on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.
Stay in with Pluck Tea
We don’t blame you for wanting to skip the cold and hunker down on the sofa but why don’t you elevate the experience with Toronto-based tea company, Pluck. Their teas are hand-blended in small quantities and several of their key ingredients are upcycled from other local companies, such as the citrus peel from a local juicer. Their limited edition winter flavours include Pumpkin Spice, Chocolate Orange and Gingerbread Spice - perfect for staying cozy this winter. Cultivate your vibe one step further with these Sorrento snowflake mugs - have you ever seen something cuter?!
